How Budget Billing Works:
- Eligibility: The Budget Billing program is open to residential and small business customers who are year-round account holders in good standing, with no past-due balance at the time of enrollment. Transportation customers are not eligible for this program.
- Enrollment: You can enroll at any time, and your plan will start with the first bill following enrollment. The monthly payment is calculated based on your past year’s energy usage at your service address. Regular reviews are conducted to ensure the amount you’re paying aligns with your actual usage, adjusting as necessary for any changes in consumption or weather.
- Payments: To remain in the program, all payments must be made by the scheduled due date each month.
- Leaving the Program: You can cancel your enrollment at any time, though we recommend staying in the program for at least nine months to see the full benefits. If you cancel, move to a new residence or miss two budget payments, any remaining credit or balance will be applied to your next bill. Balances must be paid in full.
